John Paesano is composing the original score for the upcoming biographical drama All Eyez on Me. The film is directed by Benny Boom (Next Day Air) and stars Demetrius Shipp Jr., Danai Gurira, Lauren Cohan, Kat Graham and Jamie Hector. The movie chronicles the life and legacy of hip-hop artist and actor Tupac Shakur, including his rise to superstardom, his imprisonment, and his time at Death Row Records. Ed Gonzalez and Jeremy Haft have written the screenplay. James G. Robinson (Ace Ventura, Two for the Money) and David C. Robinson (Dream House, Man of the Year) are producing the project for Morgan Creek, alongside L.T. Hutton. The film will be released June 16, the late rapper’s birthday.
Paesano also has the comedy Almost Christmas, as well as the drama Same Kind of Different as Me coming up. He also scored the Chloe Grace Moretz-starring drama Brain on Fire, which just premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and is expected to be released next year by Broad Green Pictures.
Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the sequel The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials. The movie based on the book of the same title by Ron Hall, Denver Moore & Lynn Vincent (Heaven Is for Real) follows an international art dealer who must befriend a dangerous homeless man in order to save his struggling marriage to his wife. Carney has also written the screenplay with Hall and Alexander Foard. Mary Parent (Pacific Rim, Godzilla, Noah) and Cale Boyter are producing the project for Disruption Entertainment, alongside Hall, Darren Moorman and Stephen Johnson. Paesano has previously composed the music for Carney’s short Jew. Same Kind of Different As Me is currently in post-production and will be released on April 29, 2016 by Paramount Pictures.

Nowlin has written the sequel’s script based on the novel by James Dashner. Temple Hill Entertainment and the Gotham Group are back to produce the project. John Paesano has been tapped to score the upcoming sports drama My All American. The film marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Angelo Pizzo (Rudy, Hoosiers, The Game of Their Lives) and stars Aaron Eckhart, Finn Wittrock, Robin Tunney and Sarah Bolger. The movie tells the true story of 1960s University of Texas football star Freddie Steinmark and his relationship with legendary Texas coach Darrell Royal. Steinmark was a player on the national-title-winning 1969 team, before his career was cut short when he went to the hospital for a bone bruise and learned that he had a cancerous tumor that took his leg. Pizzo has also written the screenplay. Paul Schiff (Rushmore, My Cousin Vinny, Mona Lisa Smile) is producing the project. My All American is currently in post-production and is expected to be released in 2015.
